Frequently Asked Questions
Everything travellers ask us before booking a wellness journey in Sri Lanka.
Your questions, answered properly.
If what you need is not here, message us on WhatsApp — a real person replies, usually within a few hours.
Every journey we design includes your accommodation, full-board wellness cuisine, your treatment or practice programme, consultations with the resident physician or lead teacher, and all private transfers within Sri Lanka. Your proposal itemises exactly what is covered before you commit to anything. International flights, visa and travel insurance are not included, though we are happy to advise on all three.
It is one of the easiest places in Asia to begin. English is widely spoken, the wellness sector is long-established and regulated, most centres are within two to three hours of the international airport, and Ayurveda here is a normal part of everyday life rather than a tourist product. We routinely design first journeys for travellers who have never done anything like this before.
On your first full day a registered Ayurveda physician examines you — pulse, observation and a long conversation about sleep, digestion, work and stress. From that they write a treatment plan for your constitution, which usually means one or two therapies a day, prescribed herbal medicine and a diet adjusted to you. The physician reviews your progress through the stay and sends you home with a plan you can actually keep.
Yes — that is the whole point of how we work. There are no fixed departures. You choose the dates, the length, the centre, how much of the island you see and how much you rest. If a proposal is not right, tell us and we will rebuild it. Most journeys go through two or three revisions before anyone pays anything.
Very commonly. A frequent shape is eight to ten nights of treatment on the coast followed by four or five nights inland — Ella, the tea country, Sinharaja rainforest or the ancient sites around Sigiriya. We keep the sightseeing gentle and unhurried so it supports the programme instead of undoing it. A few intensive Ayurvedic programmes ask you to stay put, and we will say so clearly if that applies.
The island has two monsoons, so somewhere is always in season. For the west and south coasts and the hill country, December to April is driest. For the east coast, May to September. Ayurvedic centres operate year-round and many physicians consider the cooler, more humid months good for treatment. Tell us your travel window and we will match the destination to it.
Yes, and they are included in every journey. You are met inside the arrivals hall at Bandaranaike International (CMB) by a driver holding your name, with water and a cool towel in the car. Domestic connections, hill-country drives and the return transfer are all arranged for you.
Every partner is visited in person before we work with them, and revisited regularly. We check that physicians are registered with Sri Lanka's Department of Ayurveda, that therapists are trained and appropriately supervised, that treatment spaces are clean and private, and that the kitchen can genuinely cook to prescription. We decline more centres than we accept.
As a guide, a seven-night Ayurvedic programme with full board, daily treatments and transfers starts at around €1,450 per person. Ten to fourteen nights typically runs €2,250–€3,500, and a three-week Panchakarma from about €4,650. Simpler, family-run centres cost less; luxury properties cost more. International flights are additional. We will always tell you honestly what your budget can and cannot buy here.
Two to three months is comfortable. The specialist Ayurvedic centres are small — often twelve to twenty rooms — and the good ones fill from December to March, so four to six months ahead is wise for peak season. That said, we place last-minute journeys regularly; if your dates are close, ask us and we will tell you straight away what is genuinely available.
Four steps, and very little effort from you.
No forms to chase, no call centre. One advisor, two working days, and an itinerary you can change as often as you like.

Tell us what you need
Share your dates, how long you have and what you are hoping to change. Five minutes on our enquiry form, or a WhatsApp message if that is easier.

We design your journey
Within two working days you receive a proposed itinerary: which centre, which programme, why we chose it for you, and what it costs — with no obligation.
- 03
Refine your experience
We adjust as often as you like. Different centre, longer treatment course, more or less travelling — until the journey reads like yours.
